What is SWAG?

"SWAG" is event industry terminology for "Stuff We All Get," or rather giftbags and products that are distributed to event invitees.

As events begin to now be defined more by the contents of a giftbag than the actual production, many companies are starting to recoginze the value of "advertising" through placement in these bags.

SwagStar enables special event sponsor seekers to search for companies offering products for giftbag placement, and offers companies an opportunity to explore new advertising channels.

Note: SwagStar was developed as part of Boston College's Carroll Graduate School of Management's Entrepreneurship class in Fall 2004.  Launch is expected late May.
